Hi, I'm Dee Mullins. 👋🏼
My journey into the world of tech began in 2017 when a CEO recognized my potential and offered me the opportunity to work as a curriculum developer. Using Markdown, HTML, CSS, and Javascript, I created courses on a custom-built LMS. That same year, I completed an 8-week program with Girls in Tech, where I learned WordPress and PHP and built my first portfolio.
In early 2018, I was chosen to participate in a 12-week Front-End Web Development Google Scholarship challenge in partnership with Udacity. I was ranked among the top 10% of the 15,000 participants and was granted a six-month Nanodegree in Web Development from Google.
Since 2019, I have been working alongside faculty members at Arizona State University to create ground, hybrid, and online courses. In 2020, I enrolled in the M.Ed in Learning Design and Technology program at ASU, and successfully completed it in 2022. I obtained my Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from ASU in March 2023.
Presently, I am actively involved in the implementation of President Dr. Crows Dreamscape Learn initiative, which integrates virtual reality in the classroom. My technical expertise, including third-party tool integration, LTI implementation, and the creation of interactive learning activities, allows me to play a key role in this initiative.
For me, happiness comes from accomplishing tasks, working hard, and continuously developing my skills. In addition, I enjoy my morning espresso, attending music festivals, and traveling to see the world and create memories.
